Job Summary
Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and activities of daily living. Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, document care given, and collaborate across disciplines for transfers, discharge, and referrals. Educate patients and families on age-appropriate needs and advocate for their physical and emotional well-being. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required within 90 days; BLS and ACLS mandatory within 30 days. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee
- Licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Handle With Care (HWC) certification within 6 months of hire
