Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the Medical Surgical Department using the nursing process. Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Document patient care, monitor conditions, and communicate with the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assist patients with activities of daily living, coordinate transfers and discharges, and provide age-appropriate education. Advocate for physical and emotional well-being while participating in performance improvement and continuing education. Maintain regular attendance and perform other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- Schedule: Three 12 Hour Shifts, Full-Time Nights (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)

- Handle with Care certification
