Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Stepdown in Day shift at Mercy Hospital South (St. Louis, MO). Full-time position (36 hours/week) on the Medical Stepdown unit with Day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM). Sign-On Bonus offers up to $10,000 for experienced nurses and up to $5,000 for new graduates. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care, evaluating care effectiveness of direct care givers, coordinating patient care with other departments, and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality in alignment with Mercy standards. Required education includes an accredited nursing program (ADN, Nursing Diploma, or BSN) and current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure; BLS certification required or to be completed within 30 days of hire. Preferred qualifications include BSN, additional licensure or specialty certifications, and prior hospital experience. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or to be completed within 30 days of hire
- Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred
- Education: BSN preferred
- Licensure: State licensure or specialty certifications preferred
