Job Summary
Provide direct and safe patient care to complex patients in the Medical Intermediate Care Unit, coordinating interdisciplinary efforts and managing basic to advanced assignments. Accurately document the nursing process, administer medications following the five rights, and adjust care plans based on patient response. Actively contribute to unit safety initiatives, discharge planning, and shared governance councils while supporting ancillary staff and serving as Nurse in Charge when needed. Requires a Georgia RN license with one year experience; new graduates are referred to the residency program. Up to $52/hour for flexible 12-hour evening or morning shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia
- Associates Degree
- One year of experience as a professional RN
Desired Qualifications
- National certification in clinical specialty
- Bachelor of Nursing Degree
- Long Term Care: One year experience
- Membership is professional organization
- Capable clinician with previous specialty experience
- Basic computer skills necessary to operate computer systems used on unit
