Job Summary
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for highly acute and critical patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety interventions, emotional support, and education. Requires a BSN degree, one year of MICU experience, and a New York RN license with BLS certification. Preferred CCRN certification and cardiac monitor reading experience. Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) or another Critical Care Unit (SICU, ICU, CCU, CTICU, etc.)
- Experience reading cardiac monitors
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Passion for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Desired Qualifications
- Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred
