Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit utilizing the nursing process within a technically complex environment. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care while supporting the four-phased AACN Essentials of Critical Care Orientation for experienced nurses new to critical care. Requires state RN licensure, BLS certification, and six months of nursing experience. Full-time day and night rotation with a 72-hour pay period. Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months nursing (RN) experience
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience
