Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) on the Med Surg unit for weekend night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). The RN prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to provide optimal quality, in alignment with the hospital’s mission and nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards. Requires NC RN licensure and BCLS certification. Orientation covering area-specific skills and growth/development needs will be provided. Must have full range of motion to perform duties, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting; able to lift up to 30 pounds. Location: Statesville, North Carolina, USA. Scheduling note: night shift with weekend incentives. The role includes access to patient health information.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina
- Certification in BCLS
- Successful completion of hospital and unit-specific orientation including age/population-specific skills for the area of practice
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods; lift and carry up to 30 pounds
