Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in a medical/surgical setting. Responsible for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care provided to patients while providing patient education and coordinating the activities of ancillary personnel. Requires a BSN or progress towards BSN, NYS RN license, and 2 to 5 years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care environment. This is a weekend contract position with a pay range of $38.00 to $50.00 per hour based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of approved school of nursing BSN or working towards a BSN or professional certification within one year of employment
- NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of BSN required within five years of employment
- 2 to 5 years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting
Additional Requirements
- Able to work weekends
- Able to work rotating shifts (days and evenings)
