Job Summary

Assess patient needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient, family, and group populations. Manage nursing team resources and lead the interdisciplinary team while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Adapt communication styles to specific patient populations and maintain involvement in unit and department strategic goals. Utilize data to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes while demonstrating professional accountability for quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing
Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to present information clearly and professionally
Strong interpersonal skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to be self-directed
Ability to demonstrate good judgement
Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently
Ability to lift 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
Ability to walk or stand to a significant degree
Ability to push and/or pull arm or leg controls
Ability to work at a production rate pace
Ability to work in an area where patients enter
Ability to work directly with patients
Ability to work with specimens that could contain communicable diseases
Ability to receive, transport, store, prepare, dispense, administer, clean, and/or dispose of contaminated waste
Ability to remain knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements
Ability to ensure compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards
