Job Summary
Assess patients and identify medical-surgical needs, perform postoperative evaluations, and manage wound care on a 32-bed inpatient unit. Provide comprehensive monitoring for patients recovering from general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures while coordinating interdisciplinary care. Maintain timely documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record. Work rotating nights (7p-7a) with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Required Qualifications
- Current Alabama or compact state RN license
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Handle with Care certification
- Nursing experience
