Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult medical patients on Med Surg 5E using the nursing process, including patient assessment, care planning, and complex care coordination. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care with other departments and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Utilize core clinical skills for frequent monitoring and multidisciplinary teamwork. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Night shift coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties

- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
