Job Summary
Registered Nurse on the Med Surg/Medical 7W unit providing direct patient care to adult patients with diagnoses such as cellulitis, pneumonia, UTIs, chest pain, COPD exac., and other general medical issues. Utilizes the nursing process to coordinate patient care, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, collaborate with other departments, and ensure professional accountability. Day shift, 36 hours/week (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) with unit-specific responsibilities including cardiac rhythm interpretation and fast-paced patient management. Eligible for sign-on bonus; unit emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care and opportunities for professional growth within Mercy.
Required Qualifications
- RN license in Missouri or compact licensure
- BLS certification (via American Heart Association)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Nursing Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN licensure in MO or compact state
- Ability to perform nursing duties per unit standards
- Experience preferred but not strictly required depending on unit
