Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg GI-Stroke Unit at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA. Full-time position (36 hours per week) with day and night shift openings on a 25-bed medicine unit handling stroke, GI surgical, nephrology, and related patient populations; unit emphasizes patient-centered care and has a formal orientation, including a Transition to Practice program for new graduates. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process across assessment, diagnoses, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion. Requires an active RN license and BLS within 90 days of hire; BSN/MSN preferred. Benefits include sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and comprehensive healthcare, retirement, and education options.
