Job Summary
Provide patient care for adults with conditions such as small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, and pneumonia using the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability, coordinate care with other departments, and ensure patient confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy service standards while assessing patient needs and evaluating care effectiveness. This full-time med-surg unit offers a strong clinical foundation with diverse patient needs and frequent assessments. The role supports a collaborative team environment focused on compassion and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
