Job Summary
Provide patient care for adults with medical conditions such as respiratory infections, cellulitis, and pneumonia on the Inpatient Med Surg unit. Utilize the nursing process to evaluate care effectiveness, coordinate patient care across departments, and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients. Perform duties consistent with Mercy service standards, including protecting patient rights and confidentiality. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and a BSN or nursing diploma. Full-time schedule of 36 hours per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
