Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for adults with conditions including respiratory infections, cellulitis, and pneumonia. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, coordinate care with other departments, and evaluate the effectiveness of direct care givers. Perform duties consistent with Mercy service standards while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Requires a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and an Associate, Diploma, or BSN in Nursing. Full-time 36-hour week on day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Sign-on bonuses available for experienced and new graduate nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- Additional state licensure or specialty certifications
- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
- Previous hospital experience
