Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned adult medical patients with diagnoses including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, and pneumonia. Maintain professional accountability for care provision, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers, and coordinate patient care with other departments. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Full-time, 36 hours/week, days shift (7:00am–7:00pm). Sign-on bonuses available for experienced and new graduate nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Nursing Diploma
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire

- Previous hospital experience

- Prior experience in specialty area
- Experience in similar clinical setting
