Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Med Surg Float Pool providing direct patient care across units with emphasis on evidence-based practices, nursing process, patient and family education, and coordination with other providers. Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care; maintain patient safety and comfort; apply C-I-CARE standards; participate in department initiatives and committees; demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to adapt to changing environments in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of two years prior acute care Registered Nurse experience
- Current CA R.N. License
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Knowledge of nursing process, patient care planning and execution
- C-I-CARE Standards of Hospital
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Relevant departmental certification as required (see addendum)
