Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult medical patients with diagnoses including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, and pneumonia using the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability, coordinate care with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Complete required Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. Work full-time night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly while standing, walking, and performing physical tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
- Night Shift | 7:00PM-7:30AM
- Full-Time | 36 hours/week
Desired Qualifications
- Previous hospital experience
- BSN
- Additional state licensure or specialty certifications
- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
