Job Summary
Deliver patient care using the Nursing Process, including assessing learning needs and implementing teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary groups. Manage nursing team resources effectively while communicating and delegating tasks to licensed and ancillary staff. Adapt communication styles and procedures to diverse patient populations, ensuring respect for privacy and cultural sensitivity. Utilize data to evaluate outcomes and promote improvements in patient care and departmental goals. Maintain accountability for quality outcomes and professional practice within the Nurse Practice Act framework.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Current RN License in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good time management skills and self-directed
- Demonstrates good judgement
- Frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects
- Occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty area
