Job Summary
Conduct critical care step-down nursing care for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis at the 14-bed unit. Interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and operate rescue Bi-pap and high-flow oxygen systems. Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies while collaborating with PCNAs, nurse interns, and providers. Requires current Ohio RN licensure, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications, with one year of relevant experience for PRN roles. Shifts include rotating weekends and holidays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- all required certifications upon hire
