Job Summary
Conduct critical care step-down nursing on the 7 West unit, managing patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. Perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies. Utilize advanced technology such as continuous telemetry monitoring and patient lifts while collaborating with nurse interns, PCNAs, and providers. Requires current Ohio RN licensure, AHA BLS, and ACLS certification; PRN roles require one year of relevant experience. Schedule includes 72 bi-weekly hours with rotating weekend and holiday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- all required certifications upon hire
