Job Summary
Care for patients during the full spectrum of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum Care at the Families are First Birthing Center. Assess and provide appropriate patient care based on competence, expertise, and knowledge while practicing autonomously and consistent with professional standards. Partner with medical teams to support excellence in patient care and safety throughout the organization. Maintain an active CT Registered Nurse license and hold American Heart Association CPR BLS certification. Demonstrate strong communication skills and active listening to support the patient and care team.
Required Qualifications
- Active CT Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Willingness to obtain BSN
- 1 year experience in a Maternity / Labor & Delivery Setting
- Willingness to be floated or reassigned to another department, unit, office, or location as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experienced maternity Registered Nurse
- NRP preferred at time of hire
- BSN preferred
- 1 year (Preferred) of experience in Labor & Delivery
- Ability and willingness to effectively team to ensure high quality patient outcomes
- Strong communication skills focused on high quality care
- Understands and has developed active listening skills to support the patient and patient care team
- Ability to partner with other medical staff and be receptive to new ideas and delivery of care
- Ability to partner and collaborate with medical teams to support excellence in patient care and safety throughout the organization
