Job Summary
Provide care to childbearing women and their newborns, as well as selected gynecologic and clean surgical patients, in a safe and nurturing environment. Assess the physical and emotional needs of the patient and family to develop a plan of care that incorporates age and developmental level principles. Implement the plan and supervise others with the implementation while assessing its effectiveness. This role requires a Registered Nurse license, BLS certification within months of hire, and NRP certification within three months. Candidates must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school, graduating on or before the third employment anniversary. Full-time night shifts are available in Mullica Hill.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care to the appropriate age of the patient
- Must be able to provide care to childbearing women and their newborns
- Must be able to provide care to selected other gynecologic and clean surgical patients
- Must be able to assess the physical and emotional needs of the patient/family
- Must be able to develop a plan of care that incorporates these principals
- Must be able to implement the plan
- Must be able to supervise others with the implementation
- Must be able to assess the effectiveness of the implementation
- Must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire
- Must graduate from the BSN or MSN program on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position
- Registered nurse license required
- BLS within months of hire required
- NRP within 3 months of hire required
