Job Summary
Assess patient status and determine priorities for acute, critical patients requiring intensive medical care. Implement clinical nursing interventions and develop patient care plans to enhance outcomes. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to observe surgeries, assist in maintaining a safe environment, and coordinate surgical team needs. Provide comprehensive pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including discharge instructions. Work 40 weekly hours in days and evenings shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS Basic Life Support
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Two years of RN experience in Critical Care Department
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
- CNOR Certified Perioperative Nurse
- SGNA Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates
- Completion of OR internship program
- Successful completion of Peri-op 101
