Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, position patients, and administer medications to the sterile field before, during, and after 1-4 surgeries daily. Act as the liaison between the family and surgical team, providing hourly updates and managing charting and paperwork for each case. Coordinate with core team members including scrub personnel, CRNAs, anesthesiologists, and surgeons in a fast-paced environment featuring DaVinci robotic systems. Work five 8-hour day shifts weekly with on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as RN in State of Illinois
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to position and/or transfer an average adult patient
- Gross coordination sufficient to perform other patient care duties
- Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing
- Ability to perform difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections
