Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. This role requires pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 pounds regularly, along with prolonged standing and walking. Candidates must hold an RN license and BLS certification, with additional certifications like ACLS or NRP potentially required based on the unit. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire

- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
