Registered Nurse (RN) - Main Operating Room Circulator

Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) for patients in the Main Operating Room using evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Coordinate safe, high-quality patient care through interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and timely documentation while maintaining a respectful, inclusive clinical environment. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching, adapting service delivery to reflect cultural diversity and population-specific characteristics. Complete all mandatory education, competency assessments, and population-specific training. Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff to ensure a qualified workforce. Participate in performance improvement activities, research utilization, and the development of protocols to decrease re-admission rates and avoidable adverse events. Adhere to Wellstar policies, the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, and TJC Patient Safety Goals.
