Job Summary
Review medical records against USSS standards to determine appropriate medical status and construct clinical evaluation reports. Provide leadership and expert direction on Occupational Health program requirements to internal and external stakeholders. Perform initial patient assessments, including laboratory draws, EKGs, and vital signs, while determining needs for further diagnostic procedures. Serve as an agency liaison responding to information requests from USSS leadership, the Department of Labor, and other federal agencies regarding employee medical treatment and case management. Requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing, current active RN license, and National Council Licensure Examination certification. Preferred COHN or COHN-S certification. Located in Washington, DC or Laurel, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- graduate or higher-level degree from an accredited professional nursing educational program
- Education accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- passed the National Council Licensure Examination
- current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
Desired Qualifications
- COHN or COHN-S certification
