Job Summary
Deliver day-to-day care to residents while supervising LPNs and CNAs. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician. Ensure independent decision-making and effective communication with diverse individuals. Adhere to laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in a long-term care facility. Read and understand written and oral instructions while applying current nursing practices and procedures. Work full-time evening shifts from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. at our Nassawadox, VA facility, which specializes in short-term rehabilitation, intermediate, and long-term care including a dedicated Alzheimer's unit.
Required Qualifications
- ASN or BSN degree from an accredited college
- Active RN license in the state of Virginia
- Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in a long-term care facility
- Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions
- Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures
