Job Summary
Review physician prescriptions, develop nursing care plans, and provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends. Coordinate workflow with nursing assistants and other healthcare providers while evaluating resident conditions against care standards. Maintain safe environments by adhering to infection-control protocols, medication administration procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Keep resident care equipment operational through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers while ensuring all documentation reflects changing resident needs. Work rotating shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing
- An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
- The ability to work the hours specified
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- The ability to communicate effectively with others
- The ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years Experience working in a clinical or long term care environment
