Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients while synthesizing data to optimize outcomes based on ANA standards. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to proactively resolve patient needs and coordinate education for effective care transitions. Demonstrate leadership by teaching, mentoring new colleagues, and delegating tasks based on team skills and patient acuity. Utilize evidence-based practice to maintain quality and safety, participate in performance improvement processes, and perform validated technical skills specific to the clinical specialty. Maintain clinical competency and utilize technology to optimize care delivery in accordance with facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
