Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery/OB

Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments, identify needs, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions for Labor & Delivery/OB patients. Provide care tailored to condition and age, perform timely documentation, and complete or revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan. Execute QI assessments and maintain a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio across 10 beds. Work 12-hour shifts on part-time days, rotating every third weekend and major holidays. Requires current state RN license, BLS, and ACLS (PALS, NRP, and Handle with Care preferred). Ottumwa Regional Health Center, a Lifepoint Health facility, offers a warm environment with pediatric coverage by a Board Certified provider.
Required Qualifications
- current state RN license
- associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
- NRP preferred
- Handle with Care preferred
