Job Summary
Accurately perform patient assessments, identify needs, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions for labor and delivery patients. Provide care tailored to the condition and age of each patient while performing timely documentation and revising the Interdisciplinary Care Plan. Conduct QI assessments and maintain the 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio on the 10-bed unit with pediatric coverage. Work 12-hour shifts, part-time nights, rotating every third weekend and major holidays. Requires current state RN license, BLS, and ACLS.
Required Qualifications
- current state RN license
- associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
- NRP preferred
- Handle with Care preferred
