Job Summary
Join Sentara Obici Hospital as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Care. Provide competent, patient-centered nursing care across a fast-paced unit with 22 beds (10 L&D/Triage, 12 Post Partum) and a 20-room nursery. Works include care for laboring patients from admission to discharge, recovery, postpartum care, and OB/GYN surgical patients (hysterectomies, mastectomies). The role emphasizes nursing process, professional performance standards, collaboration, education, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement. BSN or MSN preferred; RN licensing in Virginia or a compact state is required, with BLS due within 90 days and ACLS/PALS or ENPC within one year. Will consider new grads with preceptorship at Obici L&D and Postpartum care; at least 1 year of acute care nursing experience is preferred. Required Qualifications
- RN license in Virginia or compact license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
