Job Summary
Perform advanced vascular access procedures, including peripheral IV insertion, midline catheter placement, and difficult IV access management. Troubleshoot complications related to vascular access devices and respond promptly to rapid response calls for advanced clinical assessment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize patients, document interventions accurately, and participate in post-event debriefs. Serve as subject matter expert on MTP protocols and lead staff education on IV techniques and rapid response best practices. Maintain knowledge of current clinical guidelines and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Requires minimum 3-5 years of critical care experience, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification. Salary range $58.91 - $64.91/hr. Located at St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current New York State RN License
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in critical care nursing
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Certification in vascular access (e.g., VA-BC)
