Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Interventional Radiology provides comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process for a designated patient group, coordinating with physicians and health-team members, leading and delegating unit activities, and executing procedures with clinical judgment. Responsibilities include patient interviews, chart review, health status assessments across GI/ cardio/respiratory/renal/neurological domains, pain management, psychosocial assessments, outcome development and measurement, care planning and documentation, ensuring safety and timely administration of treatments, collaboration with care team, cross-disciplinary communication, patient and family education, discharge planning, and ongoing quality improvement activities. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, NY RN license, and BSN-related progression with preferred BSN completion.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN Degree within five years of job entry date
