Job Summary
Provide appropriate care for patients moved from ICU to IMC, utilizing critical care skills and professionalism. Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments for Angio and Medical Surgery units. Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff while monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions to the care team and physicians. Monitor and manage complex drips including Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Dobutamine for diverse cardiac and trauma patients. This role supports a 30-bed Intermediate Care Unit with a 1:3 to 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio within a Level 3 Trauma and Cardiac Receiving Center environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Arizona or Compact State RN license
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school
- Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg/Telemetry experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BSN)
- IMC/PCU or ICU experience
- Experience inserting mid-lines
- Experience pulling chest tubes
- Experience in Level 3 Trauma and Cardiac Receiving Center
- Experience in Angio and Medical Surgery units
- Experience in ICU/ED
- Experience floating to Med/Surg unit or ICU/ED
