Job Summary
Registered Nurse for Intermediate ICU on a full-time night shift (7p-7a) at Wellstar. The role supports a 16-bed Intermediate ICU in a Level IV Trauma with growing cardiac/oncology population. Core responsibilities include performing the nursing process, delivering relationship-based patient-centered care, coordinating and documenting safe, high-quality care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The RN uses evidence-based practice, adheres to standards of the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics, supports shared governance, and fosters patient and family engagement. Required qualifications include RN licensure (single-state or compact), BLS and ACLS (instructor or provisional), and nursing education with a diploma or BSN preferred. Prior direct patient care experience is preferred, with emphasis on critical thinking, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree (BSN) preferred
- Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Instructor
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Instructor or ACLS Provisional
- Experience with direct patient care (preferred)
- English language proficiency
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; capable in using technology for clinical care
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with decisiveness
- Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
