Registered Nurse (RN) -Intermediate Care Unit – Weekend Option (Day Shift)

Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Care Unit with a weekend option on the Day Shift (3x12-hour shifts Fri-Sun, 7:00 am–7:00 pm) at Alton Memorial Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare. Provides direct patient care across the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) within telemetry/cardiac monitoring settings. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-treatment home care, and participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Collaborates with the interprofessional team to develop, implement, and document individualized plans of care, communicates across care transitions, and supports professional development. Requires RN licensure; minimum education includes Nursing Diploma/Associate's with open to ADN/BSN/MSN candidates; BSN differential and a sign-on bonus for external candidates are offered. The unit is a 32-bed telemetry environment; BJC has a nursing career ladder for advancement. This is a safety-sensitive position.
