Job Summary
Assess and reassess the health care needs of individuals, including those with complex medical conditions and stroke-related issues. Analyze assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes, then implement care interventions guided by evidence-based practice and policy. Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and recognize problems to reach sound conclusions. Evaluate discharge needs related to the plan of care utilizing resources as needed. Maintain current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) training throughout employment. Complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program if new to the team. Join the step-down unit dedicated to award-winning advanced stroke care.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN)
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training
- Basic Life Support (BLS) retraining
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Previous experience in healthcare field
