Job Summary
Assess patient status, determine priorities, and implement clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients requiring intensive medical care. Develop and perform patient care plans to enhance outcomes while ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to analyze initial and ongoing assessments, create care plans, and evaluate treatment effectiveness. Synthesize information to take immediate, decisive, evidence-based action using clinical judgment, anticipating and adapting to rapidly changing patient conditions. Administer medications safely in accordance with state practice and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care, ACLS required within 6 months of hire)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire, required in lieu of BLS/ACLS for Pediatric Units, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
- 1 year of RN experience (required)
- 6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
