Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Lorain Hospital

Job Summary
Direct patient care in the ICU, functioning as the leader of the Care Delivery Team by directing care for a team of patients using the CN II as a resource. Perform independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs while demonstrating competencies in using all equipment for the indicated age groups. Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Assistants under the reporting of the Nurse Manager or Administrative Supervisor. Maintain current Ohio RN licensure, BLS/CPR certification, and complete annual continuing education including Fire Safety. Work nights (7pm-7:30am) for 36 weekly hours with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure from the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period
- Completes Orientation Checklist
- Obtains/maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually which includes Fire Safety & CPR/BLS Recertification
- Theoretical knowledge combined with beginning level clinical experience in providing nursing care for a variety of patients
- Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing with people of varying backgrounds
- Moderate level of physical exertion required
- Occasional exposure to adverse conditions
- Shift Times - Nights (7pm-7:30am)
- Rotating Weekends & Holidays
