Job Summary
Assess patient status, determine priority of problems, and implement clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients requiring intensive medical care. Develop and perform patient care plans to enhance outcomes while ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to conduct initial and ongoing assessments, create care plans, and evaluate treatment effectiveness. Synthesize information to take immediate, evidence-based action using clinical judgment, anticipating and adapting to rapidly changing conditions. Administer medications safely in accordance with state practice and organizational policies. Requires one year of RN experience, current state licensure, and BLS/ACLS certification. Scheduled for 36 weekly nights at Clermont Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 1 year of RN experience
- BLS Basic Life Support
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 6 months of hire)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required in lieu of BLS/ACLS for Pediatric Units)
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit
- BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire)
