Job Summary
Teach classroom, laboratory, simulation, hybrid, and online nursing courses while developing syllabi, assessments, and instructional materials. Evaluate student learning and clinical competencies, then supervise students in clinical settings. Participate in curriculum development and accreditation activities, provide academic advising and mentoring, and serve on committees to support college initiatives. Maintain current licensure and pursue professional development. This Registered Nurse Instructor role supports the Associate Degree Nursing Program at UA Rich Mountain, a two-year public community college offering transformative education with a 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio.
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted Arkansas RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Three years of recent clinical nursing experience
- Eligibility to teach under Arkansas State Board of Nursing requirements
- Strong communication and technology skills
- Knowledge of nursing practice and education principles
- Ability to teach and evaluate nursing students
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Commitment to student success and continuous improvement
- Ability to work in classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical environments and demonstrate nursing procedures as needed
- Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing
- Previous ADN or BSN teaching experience
- Simulation and curriculum development experience
- Rural healthcare experience
- Nursing specialty certification
