Job Summary
RN Instructor / Clinical Instructor – Nursing Education role focused on clinical supervision and didactic instruction for PN and nursing-degree students. Responsibilities include supervising nursing students during clinical rotations in hospital/healthcare settings, providing hands-on instruction in patient care, medication administration, documentation, IV therapy, assessments, and clinical procedures, maintaining a 1:10 instructor-to-student ratio, reinforcing patient safety and evidence-based nursing practices, and collaborating with faculty to support student development. Classroom instruction entails teaching Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Family & Child Nursing, and related coursework; duties include lesson planning, classroom activities, proctoring exams and skills evaluations, and mentoring students. Qualifications emphasize MSN degree preferred (or BSN with MSN-enrollment), active NY RN license, CPR, clinical nursing experience, and teaching/precepting experience. Schedule options include 12-hour clinical shifts starting early mornings and weekday classroom courses (15-week terms) with flexible scheduling for qualified candidates. Required Qualifications
- MSN degree preferred, or BSN with current enrollment in an MSN program
- Active New York State RN license in good standing
- Current CPR certification
- Clinical nursing experience required
- Previous teaching, precepting, or staff education experience preferred
