Job Summary
Provide hands-on clinical supervision and classroom instruction for nursing students in Medical-Surgical, OB, and Pediatrics; supervise 12-hour clinical shifts with start times at 5:45 AM or 6:15 AM; maintain a 1:10 instructor-to-student ratio; guide students through direct patient care activities including assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, hygiene care, documentation, and clinical decision-making; reinforce evidence-based practice and safety standards; evaluate student performance and provide feedback; deliver 15-week didactic instruction for Practical Nursing and degree-seeking students; develop lesson plans, administer exams and competency assessments, and provide academic advising and mentoring; ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards; required qualifications include NY RN license, MSN or BSN with MSN progress, CPR, and clinical teaching experience; COVID vaccination and background/drug checks required; schedule includes 12-hour clinical shifts and weekday classroom instruction; competitive hourly or per-class compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in NY
- MSN degree or BSN with active MSN progress
- Current CPR certification
- Clinical nursing experience in Medical-Surgical, OB, or Pediatrics
- Prior teaching/precepting/clinical instruction experience preferred
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination
