Job Summary

Deliver direct inpatient oncology nursing care across units, including comprehensive assessments, individualized care planning, symptom management, and administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive therapies per protocols. Maintain central venous access care, verify orders with independent checks, monitor infusion reactions, and provide education to patients and families. Document in Epic, participate in quality and safety activities, support multidisciplinary care coordination, and assist with discharge planning. May serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or mentor. Requires strong knowledge of oncology pharmacology, hazardous drug handling, infection prevention, and adherence to regulatory standards; commitment to culturally competent, trauma-informed care; and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with collaboration across teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
  • Massachusetts RN license (unrestricted)
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred depending on work area
  • 1 year of recent RN experience preferred; oncology/hematology experience preferred
