Job Summary
Provide direct inpatient oncology nursing care for adult patients, including comprehensive assessment, individualized care planning, symptom management, and administration of chemotherapy/immunotherapy per protocols; manage central venous access devices (ports/PICCs), monitor for adverse events, educate patients and families, and document in Epic. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, participate in quality and safety activities, and support clinical research; may serve as charge nurse or preceptor, contributing to patient throughput and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing or higher (BSN preferred)
- Massachusetts RN license required
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate required or obtained within 6 months of hire
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred
- 1 year of recent RN experience preferred
- Acute care/oncology nursing experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
