Job Summary
Provide inpatient oncology nursing care for adult patients as part of a Dana-Farber-affiliated team at Mount Auburn Hospital. Deliver comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy per protocols while ensuring patient safety and quality care. Manage central venous access devices (ports, PICCs), perform infusions and monitoring, provide thorough patient and family education, and coordinate care within the interdisciplinary team. Maintain accurate Epic documentation, participate in safety and quality initiatives, and potentially serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or mentor. Requires Massachusetts RN licensure and a chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification (or completion within 6 months); BSN strongly preferred with 1 year RN experience preferred. Night shifts, 36 hours weekly with rotating weekends; eligible for full-time benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Massachusetts RN license (unrestricted)
- Oncology/hematology experience preferred
- BSN preferred or enrolled in BSN within 4 years
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certificate or obtained within 6 months of hire
- BLS required; ACLS preferred depending on area
- Experience with Epic or EMR systems preferred
